“The First Standard and non-GM Label for Quality and Domestic Origin – Danube Soya” Conference
“The First Standard and non-GM Label for Quality and Domestic Origin – Danube Soya” conference was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia in Belgrade on December 22.
One of the messages of the conference was the fact that by labeling the first domestic non-GMO soybean products in Serbia, a huge step towards the preservation of the domestic manufacture of non-GMO soybeans was made. At the conference, the purpose of which was to introduce experts and domestic businesses to the Danube Soya standard and quality label, it was pointed out that by being labeled in this way, the competitiveness of domestic products increases, both on the domestic and on the regional and international markets.
The participants were addressed by Vesna Kovač, State Secretary in the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications; Žarko Galetin, Director of the Agriculture Sector of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia; Marija Kalentić, Danube Soya Association General Manager for Serbia; Aleksandar Đokić, Director of the Fresh Meat Sector at Mercator S Retail Chain, and Natalija Kurjak, Marketing Manager at Victoria Logistic, Victoria Group member company.
Victoria Group is a member of the Danube Soya Association, and its member companies Victoria Logistic and Sojaprotein have successfully implemented the Danube Soya Standard.
