Victoria Group participated in the forum of agriculture "Food for Europe"

Victoria Group participated in 2nd agricultural forum, "Food for Europe", held from 11th to 13th October 2012, in Subotica, by taking part in a discussion panel, "The Battle for the Market: How to make the most out of the production and export potentials of agriculture and food industry in Serbia".

Our company was represented by the Director of Victoria Logistic, Goran Borčak, who outlined the potential of agricultural production in Serbia and presented measures for promoting exports in the agribusiness.

The "Food for Europe" forum was organized by the Institute of Economics and the Agricultural Economists Association of Serbia, and this year its main subject was the analysis of the current situation, challenges and prospects for improving the Serbian agro-economy, given the country’s candidacy for membership in the European Union, which is the most demanding phase of the accession period.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide recommendations for developing new strategies and agricultural policies for Serbia, using the best practices.

Along with Goran Borčak, the forum was attended by Goran Knezevic, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Milos Bulgarian, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Aleksandar Vlahovic, President of the Institute of Economics, John Clark, Director of the International Relations and Enlargement Department within the Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Commission, Miodrag Kostic, president of MK group, and many other representatives of state institutions, the private sector and professional organizations.
