Victoria Logistic at the Workshop on Technological Innovations in Agriculture
The BioSens Institute organized the Second International Workshop “IT for New Agricultural Economics” in Novi Sad, on February 10 – 12. This meeting, dedicated to the technological innovations in the agriculture and food industry sectors, gathered representatives of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, representatives from agricultural economics, and prominent scientists in this field from all over Europe. Over the course of three days, numerous panels, workshops, and presentations took place with the aim of intensifying the dialogue between all those involved in the agriculture-food industry chain and harmonizing the requirements of the agrarian sector with the research and innovations implemented by the BioSens Institute.
Victoria Logistic, member of the Victoria Group, participated in two panels. When discussing challenges in the development of new agricultural economics, Goran Borčak, Victoria Logistic Commercial Director, pointed out the importance of applying new technologies for the purposes of more efficient and economical production and quality management, which would increase the competitiveness of Serbian agriculture on foreign markets. Nina Kujundžić Ivančević, Victoria Logistic Brand Manager, talked about the role of information and communications technologies in the process of introducing international standards and traceability in agriculture, and especially emphasized the electronic field register and the benefits of this tool offered by Victoria Logistic to its partners.
