Pellets for animal litter presented to poulterers

The 26th Poulterers Conference organized by CIIP Živinarstvo took place from September 26 to September 30 on Tara Mountain with a number of international participants. In the course of the event, more than 170 participants had the opportunity to find out all the details about agro pellets for animal litter, a new product placed on the market by Victoria Starch, a member company of Victoria Group.

Victoria Starch on the market with two agro-pellet products

Victoria Starch, the youngest member company from the Victoria Group business system, began continuous production of agro-pellets, i.e. pellets from agricultural biomass, in mid-2013.

Agro-pellets are a cylindrical, smooth and odorless products obtained by pressing biomass – crop residue (soybean, wheat and rapeseed straw) under high pressure, without adding any binding agents. In this way the sustainable use of agricultural biomass as a renewable energy source is achieved.

Victoriaoil gathers the largest animal feed manufacturers

On August 17, in Šid, Victoriaoil, a Victoria Group member company, gathered the representatives of 20 of the largest animal feed factories in Serbia to promote the meal production program from its assortment. The main focus was on the high-protein sunflower meal and its application in feed formulations for different categories of farm animals.

The gathering was opened by Srđan Popov, Victoriaoil's General Manager, who gave a presentation on the factory itself – its processing capacities, technology, and production portfolio.

This year’s yields topic at the round table organized by the Association Serbia Grains

On August 9, a round table discussion was held in Novi Sad on the current issues in the agricultural sector, namely the state of sunflower, soy, and maize and the quality of wheat from the crop of 2017, featuring a special topic on rapeseed as a promising culture. The conference was organized by the Association Serbia Grains with the support of UN FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) and EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) in the context of the project for the advancement of grain and oilseed export.

At the ceremonial session of the Municipal Assembly of Bečej held on August 1 as part of the Municipality Day festivities, the annual awards for the contribution to the local community – the August 1st Awards – were presented.

“Games Without Frontiers” as a motivator for children with disabililties

The 13th “Games Without Frontiers” were held on July 4 at Zemunski kej in Belgrade as part of the permanent activities of the charity organization “maliVeliki ljudi” (“littleBig people”). This traditional event aims at taking children with disabilities out of children’s homes and socializing them along with developing their competitive spirit. Around 100 children from 12 children’s homes competed in various games adapted to suit their abilities and watched the entertaining performances of a magician and a band that put on a show during breaks.

Victoria Group is very active on the world’s largest social network, Facebook, which — according to the latest data — gathers more than 2 billion users. The corporate page of Victoria Group in the Serbian language was launched in September 2014 and from then on there has been a constant growth in the number of “Likes”. This month it even exceeded 70,000 followers!
